    Biography

    Dr Jean de la Croix Allen Ingabire, MD, MPH, MMed, FCS(ECSA)-Orthopaedics, PhD, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUK), Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Rwanda, and Deputy Director of the NIHR Research Hub on Global Surgery-Rwanda. With more than 15 years of clinical, academic, and research experience, his work spans orthopaedic trauma, disability and rehabilitation, clinical trials, global surgery, surgical safety, health-technology evaluation, digital health, and implementation research. Dr Ingabire has served as principal investigator, co-investigator, and national or institutional lead on several multicentre trials and international research programmes. He also contributes to research governance, clinical-trial oversight, postgraduate supervision, and the mentorship of emerging researchers. He has authored or contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Through RDCH, he provides strategic leadership in ethical clinical research, surgical innovation, health-technology evaluation, and research-capacity strengthening to improve equitable access to high-quality healthcare in Rwanda and across Africa.
